This presentation is, in reality, a promotion of our newest addition to our Interpretive Clip Art Library. EcoFont-One is an actual new font now available in either Truetype or Type One PostScript. It is illustrated in this stack.
If you send us your shareware fee, we will immediately respond with a complete package of information explaining our library of graphic files. This package includes many examples of the images available. Think of us as the “National Geographic” version of clip art for the Macintosh. We don't do cars, sports, stacks of money, or drawings of computers. We do natural history and educational images.
If you do not keep any part of this stack and still submit your name and address, we will still send you this package of literature, for the asking.

BACKGROUND and MISSION:
Creative ReSources, Incorporated was established in 1968 as a graphic arts company serving national parks, zoos, aquariums, nature centers, summer camps, environmental organizations, schools, and related businesses with imprinted products. These products included signs, posters, publications, ceramics, sportswear and more. We operated our own production facility for over eighteen years serving such clientele as Los Angeles Zoo, San Diego Zoo, Busch Gardens, Wildlife Safari, Gladys Porter Zoo, St Louis Zoo, Topeka Zoo, University of Southern California - Sea Grant Office, Catalina Island Institute for Marine Studies, LA County Museum of Natural Histroy, Sea World, Los Angeles City Schools, Bill Burrud’s Animal World - NBC, Lion Country Safari, Africa USA, Yosemite, GreenPeace, Audubon Society, Sea World, Marineland, and many many more. In 1984, we closed this operation, purchased the first Macintosh 512K sold in Northern Arizona, and began the present operation of providing graphic support to printers and publishers needing tutorials, clip art and custom designs for their own projects. Our computer equipment has increased considerably since then.
In 1985 we created and co-authored the famous “WET PAINT” Classic Clip Art Collection. It was published by Dubl-Click Software and was announced at the 1986 January MacWorld Expo in San Francisco. It became the most successful collection of bit-mapped Mac art ever published, garnering a five-mouse rating from the MacUser magazine. It is still available today after six years of life in a fast changing market. Call us if you can’t find it.
Today, our mission remains the preparation of useful and dedicated collections of interpretive clip art, prepress designs and tutorials, and accepting desktop publishing assignments for and from Desktop Publishers, Educators, Interpreters, and the screen printing industry. We have a full-time staff of talented and experienced people all over the country, electronically connected by FAX, modem and E-mail through available online services (like AOL). Our “electronic studio” stands ready to serve you and to provide these services.
THE IDEA
After six years of providing quality clip art internationally to the Macintosh computer community, we are revamping our entire format and method of distribution!
We are now offering our large, and ever-growing, collection of work as a “library” of diskettes from which the buyer may make his or her selection. This change will offer the buyer greater choice, lower costs, and better control over image selection. This is an important improvement.
Over the years, the complaint, about commercial clip art we hear the most, is, “I wish I didn’t have to buy so many miscellaneous images when I only need just a select few!” We agree. Hence, our new library of diskettes. Effective immediately, we are ceasing to create multi-disk, multi-category, multi-format, higher priced collections that seem to exist for the sake of the packaging rather than for the buyer’s purpose. All of our designs are now available on single 800K diskettes at reasonable prices. Images on these disks are grouped by subject, artist, and file type. If you only use PostScript images, now you can find them. If you only use high resolution bitmapped files, you can now select them! If you only want pictures of marine mammals and don’t need birds, fish and others, you can select just this grouping by single disk and order what you need. If you're looking for a good original bitmap image to colorize in PhotoShop or PixelPaint, they're here! And so on, from the work of several artists constantly adding to our library.
ABOUT OUR INTERPRETIVE CLIP ART LIBRARY:
Interpreters, Publishers, Screen Printers, Educators and any one else using the Macintosh can now purchase organized groups of dedicated Clip Art from Creative ReSources, Inc.
The Interpretive Clip Art Library presently utilizes the following file types: MacPaint (72 dpi bit map), PICT (300 dpi bit map), and EPS (PostScript). In the very near future we will add gray-scale images. We also have a select group of Fonts.
Our PICT files translate into TIFF successfully using a program like DeskPaint.
ALL of these files are graphic files and do NOT require any application to use. As a rule, you simply import or place them into your page layout programs and print. Fonts are installed in the usual way.
If you wish to edit the images, and they are all editable, you must have any appropriate application that edits each type. For any of the bitmap images (MacPaint or PICT) you need programs like SuperPaint, PixelPaint, Canvas, DeskPaint, or others. For the EPS files, you must use either Adobe Illustrator or Aldus FreeHand. In all cases, OPEN your application first, then open the file we supply. Make your changes and SAVE.
